GUIDE TO A SUCCESSFUL TREATMENT

Preparation & Aftercare

The following steps will ensure a better outcome for all your cosmetic enhancements. Please contact the clinic if you have any questions and our team will guide you through.

BEFORE your enhancement...

Must NOT be pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive.

 

Must be OVER 18 years old.

 

Contact clinic FIRST if allergic to Soy, Bees or Lignocaine/Lidocaine.

 

NO vaccinations 2 weeks prior and after procedure.

 

Contact clinic if you have autoimmune or neuromuscular condition BEFORE booking.

NO active infection or antibiotic treatment at the day of the procedure.

 

NO Ibuprofen and Aspirin 24 hours prior to treatment.

Avoid alcohol 4 hours prior and after treatment.

PLEASE COME IN MAKEUP FREE to aid in skin and symmetry assessment.

DERMAL FILLER CLIENTS

  • If with history of KELOID scarring and blood thinning medications, please advise the clinic FIRST as the doctor might seek more information.

  • No flying for the next 2 weeks POST procedure to observe for any adverse events and to be able to access prompt care.

  • Prepare your ICE blocks for your cold therapy

FAT DISSOLVE CLIENTS

  • Ensure that you allot enough time for recovery as the procedure will produce significant swelling that can last 3-5 days and may take up to a 3-4 weeks to subside.

INFUSION CLIENTS

  • Please hydrate prior to appointment for better vein visibility during cannulation. Bring snacks as some infusions can trigger hunger.

  • Be advised that we need medical clearance before giving high dose Vitamin C due to risk of hemolysis (breakdown of red blood cells) for G6PD patients.

Aftercare

Post-skin wrinkle management
  • NO alcohol for 4 hours after treatment.

  • NO makeup for 4 hours.

  • Avoid exercise or any heat inducing activities for 48 hours.

  • NO hot water on the face for 24 hours

  • NO rubbing or scrubbing the treatment area.

  • AVOID hats helmet or anything that could put pressure on the treatment site.

  • Remain UPRIGHT for at least 4 hours.

  • As much as possible, sleep on your back.

  • For pain relief, you may take paracetamol and avoid aspirin or ibuprofen.

  • For bruising, use hirudoid or arnica to speed up healing.

Post-fat Dissolving
  • Avoid touching the area.

  • Expect significant swelling therefore if you need to work, you might need to cover the neck area until swelling subsides.

  • Take Panadol for pain.

  • Report if there is more pain than usual.

Post-collagen biostimulator

  • Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, itching, firmness, or bruising is common and usually temporary.

  • Apply a cool compress for 10 to 15 minutes at a time during the first 24 hours IF DIRECTED.

 

Massage (ONLY if specifically directed by your practitioner):

  • Gently massage treated areas 5 times per day for 5 minutes each time, for 5 consecutive days, or as instructed by your practitioner.

  • Use clean hands and a light moisturiser to help evenly distribute the product.

 

For the first 24 to 48 hours:

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, excessive heat (saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga), and sun exposure.

  • Avoid makeup for at least 12 hours.

  • Sleep on your back where possible and avoid pressure on treated areas.

 

Bruising and discomfort:

  • Mild bruising or tenderness is usually self-limiting.

  • Arnica or Hirudoid cream may help speed healing.

  • Paracetamol may be used if required. Avoid anti-inflammatory medications unless prescribed.

 

Avoid for 3 to 4 weeks:

  • Facial treatments or massage (other than your instructed massage)

  • Dental procedures unless medically necessary

  • Other injectable or energy-based treatments unless approved by your practitioner

 

Contact the clinic promptly if you experience:

  • Increasing redness, warmth, swelling, or pain

  • Discharge from injection sites

  • Fever or chills

  • Persistent or worsening lumps despite massage

  • Skin colour changes

  • Any unexpected symptoms or concerns

Post-volume and profile enhancement
  • NO alcohol for 4 hours after treatment.

  • NO makeup for 24 hours

  • Avoid HOT DRINKS until you have full sensation back on your lips.

  • ICE ICE ICE to help with the swelling.

  • Avoid exercise or any heat inducing activities for 48 hours.

  • NO hot water on the face for 24 hours

  • NO rubbing or scrubbing the treatment area.

  • AVOID massaging the area to avoid displacing the product. Only massage it IF your cosmetic nurse instructed you to.

  • As much as possible, sleep on your back.

  • For pain relief, you may take paracetamol and avoid aspirin or ibuprofen.

  • For bruising, use hirudoid or arnica to speed up healing.

Post-infusions
  • Most clients tolerate IV drips well. However, mild bruising, tenderness, or discomfort at the cannulation site can occur and is usually self-limiting. If bruising is more noticeable, you may apply arnica cream or Hirudoid cream to help speed up the healing process.

  • Please monitor the area and contact us if you notice signs of infection such as increasing redness, warmth, swelling, worsening pain, discharge, or fever, or if symptoms do not improve.

Contact us immediately when...

You notice significant pain greater than what is expected

 

White or patchy discolouration at or near the site of injection

 

Any changes to vision or other significant concerns
